Leslie McLintic - – Chairman & Managing DirectorLeslie McLintic - Chairman & Group Managing Director

After a successful career in Design Engineering, Les McLintic became a financial adviser in 1978, as shareholder and director of a financial services firm. When the firm was acquired by The Commercial Union in 1987, Les established Westerby Investment Management Limited. In 1996, he established Westerby Trustees Limited, to provide specialist trusteeship and administration services.

A quarter of a century later, Les is Managing Director of the well established Westerby Group, which provides high quality financial solutions for both corporate and private clients.


Steve Harvey - DirectorSteve Harvey - Managing Director

Steve has been an independent financial adviser since 1981 and provides specialist advice for family businesses, entrepreneurs, private clients and high net worth individuals.

Sales and marketing director of Pointon York until 1999, he helped launch one of the first SIPPS in 1990, spending six years as a committee member of the original SIPP providers group, Association of Pensioneer Trustees, (AMPS) Steve then moved to RSM Tenon and after thirteen years, joined Westerby Group in May 2012. Steve advises Westerby’s clients across the UK and works with third party introducers in financial planning, retirement strategies, investment advice and employee benefit arrangements.



Ian Jarvis - Business Development Director

Ian Jarvis - Marketing DirectorHaving spent four years working in SSAS administration, in 1992, Ian took a short career break to enjoy his hobby of mountaineering. Eight years later, having led expeditions and treks as far afield as Morocco and Nepal, Ian returned to the UK to work in IFA sales for a leading insurance company. During this time he completed the FPC qualification before joining Westerby Trustee Services in 2003. He oversees all aspects of Sales & Marketing within the company.


Jinal Sachdev, DipPFS - Sales Executive

Jinal Sachdev , DipPFS - Sales ExecutiveA graduate of Nottingham Trent University in 2000 with a 2:1 in Financial Services, before joining a large insurance company and working within its pensions department for six years in a variety of roles including pension administration, managing teams as a team supervisor and providing technical assistance to others. Jinal has increased his industry knowledge by completing a number of professional examinations, including FPC, Certificate in Financial Administration (CFA) and the Diploma in Financial Services, giving him his DipPFS status. Having joined Westerby Trustee Services in June 2006, Jinal is responsible for sales and marketing of SSAS, SIPP and QROPS products.

Victoria Leer – Head of Operations & Compliance

Victoria Leer – Operations and Compliance ManagerVictoria Leer joined Westerby Group as Operations and Compliance Manager in 2014 bringing over 25 years’ valuable experience in the financial services industry, gained at Grant Thornton, Clarkson Wayman Ball, HSP Financial Planning and Pole Arnold. Having previously advised clients, she is fully qualified as a Financial Adviser and maintains her Professional Standing with the Chartered Insurance Institute.  Victoria provides support across the group at a senior level, working closely with directors in both Westerby Trustees Services and Westerby Investment Management. Compliance is a complex and essential aspect of the financial services industry and Victoria’s primary focus is maintaining the integrity of our operations and compliance to provide essential reassurance for the Group, our clients and our professional connections.



Fran Sansom – Head of Pensions Administration

Fran Sansom – Client Services ManagerAfter graduating from Worcestershire College of Higher Education in 1997 with a 2:2 in Environmental Science, Fran joined a large Pension and Life office in Shropshire, working there for three and a half years until moving back to the Midlands and becoming a Sales Consultant for a national pension provider. In late 2001 Fran joined a large Leicester firm as a SIPP Administrator specialising in property purchases. With over eight years of pension administration experience Fran joined Westerby Trustee Services in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing the SIPP administration teams, recruitment, training and legislation changes.


Barbara Dams - Head of Financial Administration

Barbara Dams - Financial ManagerBarbara spent 13 years working for a large insurance company in administration and managing teams. She joined a Leicester firm of Independent Financial Advisers working mainly on Group Pension business for almost nine years. Barbara has completed several professional examinations, including FPC, six parts of ACII and the Certificate in Financial Administration (CFA). Barbara joined Westerby Trustee Services in 2006 and is responsible for financial aspects of SIPP and SSAS, including pension payroll, tax claims and rental invoicing and management of our Finance Team.


Matthew Forman -Technical Specialist and Head of IT

Matthew Forman – Senior Pensions Administrator and IT Co-ordinatorAfter graduating from the University of Leicester in 2003 with an Honours Degree in Physics with Astrophysics, Matthew worked for a number of years in the public sector as an administrative officer and technical expert administering State Pension and Pension Credit. He joined Westerby Trustee Services Limited in 2007 as a Pensions Administrator, and currently oversees the SIPP and SSAS administration systems and assists with technical queries regarding pension legislation and procedures.


Julie Hulatt - SSAS Technical Co-ordinator

Julie Hulatt - Client Account ExecutiveJulie joined the SSAS department of a leading Leicester Pensioneer Trustee Company in 1991 after graduating with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Economics and Economic & Social History from the University of Leicester. Since then Julie has worked for a number of regional and national consultancy practices advising corporate clients on employee benefits and director provision. She has attained the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) and acted as a registered Pension Transfer Specialist. Joining Westerby Trustee Services in 2007, Julie is responsible for the administration of SSAS schemes to ensure ongoing compliance with current legislation and regulations.

Simon Adams - Business Liason Team Manager

Simon Adams - Senior Pensions AdministratorAfter graduating from the University of Leicester with an Honours Degree in Politics and Economic and Social History, Simon joined Westerby Trustee Services Limited as a Pensions Administrator in 2006. Simon is the first point of contact for current and new external Independent Financial Advisers in liaison with our business development team and is also responsible for the new business liaison team which he oversees.




Lyn Bartlett- Client Team Manager

Lyn Bartlett- Senior Pensions AdministratorLyn began her career in financial services in 1992 with a large insurance company, initially as a quotations clerk and latterly as a customer relations officer.  In 1997 Lyn moved to another large insurance company until 2004 as a life and pensions administrator and deputy team manager.  She then joined a firm of Independent Financial Advisers dealing with wealth management and SIPP clients.  Lyn joined Westerby Trustee Services in 2011 as a Pensions Administrator.  Lyn is now a Senior Pensions Administrator and Team Leader in our SIPP team.


Emma Dutson - Financial Administration Team Manager

Emma Dutson - Team Leader, FinanceEmma worked for a small mortgage company in Leicester as a Case Progressor for a year after leaving college, joining Westerby Trustee Services in 2008 as Assistant to the Financial Controller. Emma is currently Team Leader for the Finance Team.




Tony Portwood - Client Account Executive

Tony Portwood - Client Account ExecutiveHaving spent 4 years at an internationally renowned accountancy firm, and a graduate of Leicester Polytechnic with a first class degree in Business Studies, Tony joined the self administered pensions industry in 1987, since when he has gained AFPC qualification. Tony worked for a pioneering local Leicester firm for over 23 years, before joining Westerby Trustee Services Limited. In that time he performed several roles, including the provision of administration; technical; and consultative services for clients and Independent Financial Advisers. Tony has a wealth of experience and is responsible for SSAS schemes to ensure ongoing compliance with current legislation and regulations.
