Westerby Group sponsor Rutland Polo tournament, raising funds for LOROS

June 22, 2017

Westerby Group, situated in Leicester city centre, are delighted to be once again sponsoring the Assam Cup at Rutland Polo Club. The ‘Westerby Group Assam Cup’ tournament will run from 27th June – 2nd July 2017.

Passionate about supporting the local community, Westerby Investment Management and Westerby The Pension Specialist, have once again invested into sponsorship of the tournament, which will also raise funds for LOROS.

During the tournament, a special event named ‘A Day at the Polo’ will be hosted by LOROS Hospice on the 2nd July. The Leicestershire charity provides free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.

Westerby Group will also be donating four free consultation packages, worth £1,500 each, in the LOROS raffle.  Stephen Harvey, Managing Director of Westerby Group, feels strongly about supporting the charity.

“We’ve been sponsoring the Polo for the past three years, and are delighted to see LOROS on board this year. We hope that the event will raise significant funds for the charity, as it is one we’re very supportive of. It’s a great day out for the whole family.”

The event is hoping to see an attendance from 450 people in total, and aims to raise £10,000. Profits from the day will help to raise vital funds to care for LOROS Hospice patients. The day will also include a four-course meal, created especially for the event by Kwoklyn, the brother of fashion guru, Gok Wan.
